9th April 2013 / Chelsea SPACE, London: 300 people gathered to remember Dobell’s Record Store.
Started in 1946, Dobell’s was the most influential record shop in the world, drawing famous musicians and fans, alike. Dobell’s was a place where people shared their passions with the knowledge that had been gathered on both sides of the counter. Often a party would ensue.
And that is exactly how it was on this evening. The cold space of an art gallery became a warm cocoon as people embraced old friends and joined their memories with those they once knew. Or had just met.
